Several exciting productions are coming up from Central Florida Community Arts, an Orlando area nonprofit serving local musicians, singers, musical actors, and their audiences (read about them here). Take a look at these five upcoming offerings from its current CFCArts Theatre Program season.

Guys and Dolls: September 10 – 11, 2015 at 7:30 pm in Longwood 

This is a concert version of the classic show about the gambling scene in 1950s New York City, put on as part of the organization's 2015 Summer Broadway Series. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the CFCArts Youth Outreach Program.

A Night With Heather McCraw and Friends: September 19, 2015 at 7:30 pm in Orlando 

This is a one-night-only cabaret performance featuring gifted CFCArts School of Performing Arts instructor Heather McCraw and select friends. Some songs to be performed include “Poor Unfortunate Souls,” “I Can’t Make You Love Me,” “Summertime,” and “His Eye Is On the Sparrow.”

Into the Woods: October 2 – 18, 2015 at various times in Orlando 

Catch one of Stephen Sondheim's most beloved works, a masterpiece about overcoming a witch's curse and other challenges. The full show is being staged in a creative style, adapted to an intimate venue. Limited seating is available, so don't wait to get tickets.

Thriller: October 23 – 24, 2015 at 8:00 pm in Winter Park 

The CFCArts symphony orchestra is putting on a special concert for the Halloween season. It includes creepy classics, a tribute to Michael Jackson's music, and other well-known songs performed in surprising, spooky ways.

The American Stage: November 13 – 14, 2015 at 7:00 pm in Winter Park 

From preschoolers to high schoolers, participants in the fall 2015 CFCArts Children and Youth Arts program perform theatre, songs, and dances to celebrate music and stories that have figured prominently into America's cultural landscape.
