Nothing beats farm-fresh produce, and we're really lucky in Florida to have such diverse offerings throughout the course of the year. The state is a huge blueberry producer, and our season starts earlier than in other places, peaking in March and April.
For the second half of peak blueberry season, many Florida farms open up their grounds for U-pick blueberry harvesting in April. As in, show up and harvest your own. It's always a great time, it's another reason to get outside and immerse yourself in nature, and of course it's an excellent way to support local growers.
