With 1,200 residents, Scottish Highlands balances a small community feel with plenty going on all the time. The Community Council oversees more than 50 weekly, monthly, and annual activities and events. These and numerous clubs cater to a broad range of interests, including arts and crafts, sports, hobbies, line dancing, gardening, and others.
The Recreation Center houses two large halls, as well as a stage with audience seating for up to 240 and a full kitchen. The swimming pools, fitness center, sports facilities, games, billiards, bingo, library, and computer lab offering free classes are just some of the reasons to stop by.

Residents of Scottish Highlands indulge in frequent organized community dining activities, such as pancake breakfasts, suppers, potlucks, soup and sandwich gatherings, and holiday dinners.
Sports & Recreation
Along with the exercise room and gorgeous indoor pool and outdoor pools, there are numerous sports amenities in the community, plus organized team sports and fitness classes. Take up water aerobics and play tennis, bocce ball, pickle ball, shuffleboard, billiards, darts, cards, games, ping-pong, bowling, Wii bowling, and golf.
Arts & Entertainment
One of two events spaces in the Recreation Center includes a stage for live performances. There’s also an organ, piano, and other sound equipment. Musical variety shows, BYOB dances, and performances by the Musical Jammers Club are common occurrences.
Enjoy fishing, kayaking, boating, and other water activities thanks to more than 1,400 named lakes in Lake County, and take advantage of area springs, campgrounds, and more. Ponds and other water features are integrated into the site, and there’s even free gated RV, trailer, camper, and boat storage for outdoors enthusiasts.
