On Top of the World is located in the "Horse Capital of the World" amidst the rolling hills of beautiful Ocala, Florida. One of the oldest and largest 55+ communities in Florida with its planned 10,000+ homes, it is frequently ranked as a top 55+ community. It is comprised of several neighborhoods including Indigo East and Weybourne Landing, also gated communities located just outside of On Top of the World.

On Top of the World, widely known as OTOW and self-proclaimed as the community "where the cool kids retire", has a wealth of resort-style amenities: golf, dining, clubhouses, fitness centers, resort and lap pools, and sports courts. With softball, tennis, pickleball, golf, fitness classes, swimming, archery, billiards, and many more options, OTOW has the quantity and quality of activities and programs designed to engage residents every day, all year long.  

One unique feature of On Top of the World, is its R/C flying field: a 14-acre site with a 600′ x 150′ foot grass runway. The R/C Flyers Club hosts events enjoyed by enthusiasts and spectators alike and even has flight-training for new flyers. Another unique feature of OTOW, which still exists from its founder's roots, is the 9,000-acre working cattle ranch, Circle Square Ranch. Social Clubs

On Top of the World has a full-time planner dedicated to recreational activities, providing an array of concerts, dances, parties, theatre, get-togethers, and happy hours. With over 200 resident clubs, and social and service organizations, you are sure to find activities you will love.

OTOW also boasts an award-winning lifelong learning program, called Master the Possibilities, offering over 900 courses and classes each semester, most of which are free to OTOW residents. Expand your horizons with courses in academics, art, health, technology, legal and more. Spend time at The Hobby Building, expanding your own expertise or learning from fellow residents. This building includes arts & crafts studios, the Model Railroaders Room, a library and woodworking shop. 

Golf Course

On Top of the World boasts three 18-hole golf courses. The Candler Hills Golf Course, designed by architect Gordon Lewis, is a semi-private par 72 championship golf course. From a full range of forward to championship tees, choose your start from one of the 5 sets of tees. Two other courses, The Links and The Tortoise & The Hare, also par 72, are reserved exclusively for residents and their guests. OTOW also has a pro shop, driving range, short game and practice putting green areas. 

Clubhouse Features

Experience the vibrant entertainment scene at Circle Square Commons, the hub of social and recreational activities for On Top of the World residents as well as being open to the public. The Circle Square Cultural Center, located at the Commons, provides an impressive array of concerts and entertainment options throughout the year. The Center has theater-style seating for up to 930 guests.

With expansive indoor space, residents enjoy fitness, hobbies, education, and even spa treatments at The Ranch Fitness Center & Spa.
