Connie Reed comes to us with 40+ years in the Information Technology field. Her career has spanned Mainframes, Programming, Technology Training, Networks and PC's. She is from the Upstate New York area, around the beautiful Finger Lakes, raising three beautiful children, in the small but uniquely, picturesque town, of Greene, NY. Upon becoming an "empty nester", when all the children were grown and out of college, she had a wonderful opportunity to become an employee of the Virginia State Lottery. The State Lottery in Virginia was just putting in a Network across the state, and was just the right fit for her skills,as well as, a new beginning, in the historic and majestic state of Virginia.

After 15 years, her next move was to sunny Central Florida. Retirement was short lived, as she was elected to the Board of Directors in her HOA, almost immediately, serving 4 years; two as Secretary and her last year as President.  As her last year on the Board ended, Connie found her new career: Florida Plus Realty. She is responsible for helping office staff, agents, buyers and sellers in various capacities, including systems used, hardware issues, customer service and anything else that needs to be done. Her favorite part of her position is talking to everyone or anyone who comes through the doors of the office, just getting to know them.

Connie has a fondness for teaching others, and in fact became a Literacy Volunteer while working in Greene, NY. She continued to incorporate this passion, using it throughout her career, training others in technology and it's practical uses. She also volunteers as a member of the First Impressions Team, and is a Care and Encouragement member of her Church. Her family has grown to include 6, completely adored grandchildren, ranging in age from 8 to 16. Connie says "the  most exciting part of retirement is that blank canvas in front of you. You can paint it anyway you desire. I love the fact that I am now learning a new career in an organization that values people and relationships. Learning, growing, encouraging, helping and volunteering is such an exciting way to spend my retirement!  Wow! Who knew! Perhaps one day, I will get my license! Anything is possible!"
